I'm planning a trip next month and want to get a mirrorless camera. I mostly take street and landscape photos and don't want something too heavy. My budget is around $1,000. What would you guys recommend?
In my experience, shooting with Fujifilm gear gives you plenty of dynamic range and sharp details when shooting in high-contrast outdoor lighting.
When I shoot wildlife at dawn, I usually set my shutter speed to at least 1/1600s and keep ISO on Auto. Having reliable subject detection makes all the difference when tracking birds in flight.
For portrait work, I've found skin tone rendering to be crucial. The Canon EOS R10 delivers warm, natural colors straight out of camera without needing heavy HSL tweaks in post.
Having used Fujifilm gear on multiple outdoor trips, I recommend double-checking lens aperture and ISO settings before upgrading your body.
I had a similar issue when I started out. Setting custom white balance and using a solid travel tripod made a noticeable improvement.
