Capture One vs Lightroom in 2026 — has the gap closed?
Been on Lightroom Classic for years. Every time I try Capture One I like the colour but hate the catalogue. Anyone made the switch and stayed?

Switched two years ago, stayed. The layers and the colour editor are genuinely better for skin. The catalogue is still worse — I use sessions per job instead and never touch the catalogue.

I run both: Capture One tethered in studio, Lightroom for volume culling. Not elegant, but each is better at one job.
