Non-refundable retainer, stated as a booking fee for the date. Delivery window in business days. An explicit clause that creative and editing decisions are yours. And a cap on liability at the amount paid.
Add a clause on guest interference — I now charge for reshoots caused by uncle-with-a-flash situations.
